Has grown up with the members of the San Francisco House being an extended family since they crossed paths years ago in Ireland. Derek and Nick had saved her mother from being hurt any further by the man that was attacking Rachel Corrigan then. Unfortunately, the same could not be said just recently when Rachel Corrigan had answered a call from what she thought was a patient and ended up being killed by a possession of the past, leaving Kat motherless and in the care of Julia and Nick, who face their own battle, within the legal system, to keep her when unknown blood related relatives come to try and claim her.
